Things I Learned In My Twenties

1. Don't try so hard

2. The Term 'growing up' is relative

3. Be broke. At least for a while. Everyone should learn what it's like to scrape by, to make something out of nothing. You don't have to spend money to have a lot of fun, and if you have a byob party you can put a lot of gas in a Prelude by taking all the empties in for the bottle deposit.

4. Having chef and bartender friends gets you free food and drink.

5. Having a nice rack gets you free drinks.

6. Use the time after high school to get to know yourself. Try new things. Travel. Move to a new place. And do this on your own, without a significant other, at least in your early twenties. You can't know who you want to spend the rest of your life with if you don't know yourself.

7. Seriously, stop trying so hard!
